Áslákur Ingvarsson is an Icelandic baritone known for his captivating stage presence. With a background in vocal performance from The Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp and the Iceland University of the Arts, Áslákur has played notable roles such as Leporello in Don Giovanni and Marcello in La Bohème. As a member of the innovative performance group Óður, he is dedicated to making opera more accessible to new audiences. This year, Áslákur made his European debut, performing as Dr. Malatesta in Don Pasquale at Schloss Braunfels with Opera Classica Europa. He was also nominated for Singer of the Year at Gríman, the Icelandic Performing Arts Awards 2024.
